ABOUT BROOK

Brook Blander, a Savannah, GA native, to date has penned six expressions of art, including her latest historical fiction novel The Secrets of Mercy (October 2013, ebonyLotus|Publishing). Prior to its release, Blander authored now that I am here: lyrics from the mud to the sun (May 2010, ebonyLotus|Publishing) where she herself became an open book through the transparency of her lyrical autobiography. Her talents extend beyond the pressing ink as she is also an editor, writing coach, public speaker and publisher. With writing as her first love, she is currently working on her seventh “heart” work of women’s literary fiction, yet to be titled.

 

Her short fiction and poetry has appeared in numerous anthologies including Michigan’s Thursday Night Write and Detour Memphis. She was also a contributing author to the anthology entitled G.R.I.T.S. (Girls Raised In The South) under her pseudonym, B.B. Doyle. Blander is an active member of the Historical Novel Society, Women Fiction Writers Association, and the International Association of Journal Writers.

 

Blander resides in Texas where she divides her time between writing, editing, and enjoying life with her frIends and family.
